Harper Community Park
The Harper Community Park was established in 1946 and has been serving the Harper community for about 67 years. Our organization was founded with the intention to serve the community and provide a space that the town and area ranchers could meet for special events, take part in specific pastimes, raise money for special needs or organizations, or just relax and enjoy the beauty of a quiet neighborhood with a picnic. The Park Board was created to govern the association, but involvement from everyone was explicit. We do ask that you support our organization through regular participation in activities. 2013 Park Board Members: Interim Park Board: Damon Clark - President, Jimmy Leinneweber - Vice President, Pam Fogle - Treasurer, Diane Earhart - Secretary, Mike Weaver, Mark Del Toro, Bill Meeks, and Bud Wright.

The Park is in the process of switching from a 501(c)(4) non profit organization to a 501(c)(3) non profit organization. Please be patient and stay tuned for upcoming announcements and changes.
There is a $1000 reward being offered for information on the vandalism in the park. Over the last couple of months the Park has been targeted by vandals, including the water truck, trash barrels, and the newly redone BBQ hut and pits. Damage has been reported to the police and information regarding the damages would be greatly appreciated.
Please contact the Gillespie County Sheriff's Department or a park board member if you have any information that would be helpful in stopping this continued vandalism.
The Park is there for everyone to enjoy but, if it is not valued or taken care of by the community, the Board can not and will not continue to make improvements or repairs and continue to have them be destroyed.
SPECIAL NEEDS and WANTS:
- Rock crushed/cleaned out of arena
- A/C in Community Hall
- New ceiling in Community Hall
- Concrete dam in pond area
- Railing around picnic area
- Old metal and trash hauled off from rodeo grounds
- Tractor and tiller/ground hog for arena
- Concrete tables fixed
